小說封面繪製
這是一本有關台灣南方的家族書寫，而炮仗花是小說中的重要意象。所以我描繪了南部晴空下的深色藍天，並讓橘紅炮仗花像瀑布般垂下襯托，書中的片段帶來了強烈而異色的感受，試著將那種感覺用顏色呈現於其中。
故事裡的阿拔泉，是作者陳柏言取材於屏東縣高樹鄉的真實地點，當地很多住宅會貼春聯與五福符，外表牆面常鋪設磁磚，在一二樓之間也常有延伸出去的鐵皮屋檐，門口放置各種生活物品方便隨時取用。
我想像著故事背景中的住家型態，再自己進行一些結合和變化，組成了封面的房舍，最後再加上書中不斷穿梭的發財車，完成了這本小説的封面。

Cover Illustration for My Mother’s Volunteer Novel
This novel is a family story set in southern Taiwan. The orange flame vine is an important motif in the narrative, so I depicted a deep blue sky beneath the bright southern sun, with cascades of orange-red flowers falling like a waterfall. Some passages in the book evoke a strong and unusual atmosphere, which I tried to express through colour.
The place called Abaquan in the story is inspired by a real location in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County. Houses there often display Spring Festival couplets and Wufu talismans, with tiled exterior walls and extended metal awnings between the first and second floors. Everyday items are commonly placed at the entrance for easy access.
Imagining the types of homes in this setting, I combined and transformed these elements to create the house on the cover, and added the small blue truck that frequently appears in the novel.
